Providing an interpretive dialog along with preserved photographic images, military historians are able to provide an in-depth view of the events of D-Day in World War II using military intelligence photographs taken from the air. By coupling the oral history of people who were involved in the event with photographic records, many of which would not otherwise be widely available to the public, the impact of this presentation is made to be more valuable than the sum of it's individual part...

This reminded me of an exhibit at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum that has interactive photographs of war vets. You can push a button by each person and hear their name, rank, etc. There are also other rooms of the museum that display family and professional photos of Lincoln with a voice description of the particular photo.
